Study this extract below on social issues and then answer questions a – d which follow. (the maximum mark for each sub-question is indicated in brackets) Mr Gabriel and Miss Susan are married under the Civil Status Registration Ordinance, which provides for one man-one wife, duly signed by a Mayor in a Council. They love each other dearly and God has blessed their marriage with three children- a boy and two girls. Miss Susan loves her children and provides them with food and home care. Despite her limited level of education, she assists them in their school assignments and keeps their home tidy. Although her husband is a civil servant, he has become very irresponsible. He spends very little time at home and most of his time and money on alcohol consumption. Consequently, he does not master what happens in his home. His children are not provided with basic school needs and are frequently driven away from school. His only son has indulged in criminal activities like drug consumption. This attitude hás led to his arrest and detention at a police station for stealing in the neighbourhood. Source: Improvised.
